Claire E. Roy, mother of Father Richard M. Roy

SOUTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. — Claire E. (LeComte) Roy, 92, died on the morning of Dec. 24, 2016 at her home in South Dartmouth. She was the wife of the late G. Albert Roy and the mother of Father Richard M. Roy and the late Robert P. Roy.

Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Sylvio and Lena (Tetreault) LeComte. She is survived by her two sons, Father Richard M. Roy of Dartmouth, and Raymond P. Roy of Palm Springs, Calif.; three daughters, Diane Charbonneau of South Dartmouth, Elizabeth LeDuc of Westport and Jacqueline Roy of Taunton; a granddaughter, Stephanie Charbonneau of Norwalk, Conn.; one brother, Sylvio LeComte of Dover, Del.; two sisters, Annette LeComte of Holden, Mass. and Jeanne Pallatroni of South Dartmouth and numerous nieces, nephews, and god-children.  She was the mother in-law of Ann Babola of Dartmouth and the late Keith LeDuc.  

Roy was predeceased by four siblings — Muriel Denault, Roger LeComte, Raymond (Pete) LeComte and Normand LeComte.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Dec. 31, 2016 at St. Julie Billiart Church in North Dartmouth. Burial was private.
