MIDDLEBORO, Mass. — Marcel R. Chretien, 71, longtime resident of Middleboro, died September 16 at his home, surrounded by his loving family.
He was the husband of Cheryl D. (Lovell) Chretien. Born in Fall River; he was the son of the late Charles and Lena (Longchamps) Chretien. He was a graduate of Msgr. Prevost High School, Fall River, and Northeastern University.
He was a registered pharmacist, and owned Prescription Pharmacy in Middleboro for 22 years; and for the last 11 years worked at CVS Pharmacy, Middleboro.
Chretien was also a teacher at Coyle-Cassidy High School, Taunton, for 10 years. His greatest joy was automobiles, especially MG’s and Corvettes.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl; three sons, Patrick and his wife Ann Marie Chretien, of Middleboro; David and his wife Paula Chretien, of Taunton; and Stephen and his wife Elizabeth Tomassini, of Plymouth; a daughter, Margaret and her husband Timothy Coe, of Middleboro; two brothers, Father Richard L. Chretien, of Fall River; and Lucien and his wife Janet Chretien, of Acushnet; five grandchildren, Alexandria Chretien, Kaitlyn Chretien, John Chretien, Heidi Chretien, and Nicholas Coe; and his beloved dog, Jenny.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated September 20 at Sacred Heart Church, Middleboro. Burial followed at Nemasket Hill Cemetery, Middleboro.
