Marian festival at La Salette cancelled

ATTLEBORO, Mass. — Due to unforeseen circumstances the International Marian Festival to be have been held at La Salette Shrine in Attleboro on Saturday, Oct. 7, 2017 has been cancelled. 

In place of the festival, La Salette Shrine has engaged internationally-known religious artist Brother Mickey McGrath, O.S.F.S., to speak about his Marian art on Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017 at 1:15 p.m. in the shrine’s welcome center.

Brother Mickey, an Oblate of St. Francis de Sales, is an award-winning artist, author, and storyteller. Using his own paintings and the stories which inspired them, Brother Mickey makes deep and often humorous connections between art, social justice, and religious faith around a wide variety of themes and subjects. His topic on October 22 will be “Mary: The Maternal Womb of Mercy.”
